Installation Info
Glass Tiles can be installed over all conventional tile-setting
substrates such as walls, counter tops, backsplashes, etc.
Because glass tiles are impervious, they do not absorb liquid
as ceramic tiles; therefore, we recommend using high-grade
latex modified thin-set as a setting material. To prevent
darkening of the tile color, we also recommend a white thin-set.
Sealing
The murals, decos and listellos are not sealed by Procida Tile
Importers and require sealants. The tiles are painted with oil
paint. Please treat your hand painted tiles accordingly. This
is an oil painting and must be treated as such. Carefully choose
a sealer and have your installer seal the hand painted material
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Care
After the hand painted material is properly sealed, gently use
a damp soft cloth. Avoid any care products which contain abrasives,
phosphoric acids, scouring powders, chlorine, alcohol, acetone
or glycolic acids. Mild cleaning will preserve the stones for
a longer time.
Variations and Uniformity
Variations of shade and color are inherent in natural stone
products. Certain types of stone tiles have naturally occurring
holes or veins. Your product will have surface variations
throughout the design. Due to natural variations, your product
will NOT exactly match the store sample.
Disclaimer
No warranty, express or implied, is made for the longevity of
cut stone, even with the application of additional sealer. Procida
Tile Importers has no control over stone during or after the
installation process. Therefore, Procida Tile Importers IS NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO STONE THAT MAY BE CAUSED BY, BUT IS
NOT LIMITED TO, MATERIALS AND METHODS USED TO INSTALL OUR STONE,
TYPE OF USE, AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC OR MOISTURE, OR TYPE OF MAINTENANCE.
